Meaning

Salutations to Goddess Saraswati, who is as pure and white as the jasmine flower, the moon, and snow, and who is robed in radiant white garments.

Whose hands are graced by the veena and the boon-giving staff, and who is seated upon a white lotus.

Who is ever worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu (Achyuta), Shiva (Shankara) and all the other gods.

May that goddess Saraswati, the divine one, protect me and completely remove all my dullness and ignorance.
